This equipment is used to measure the resistance of aggregate to abrasion.
The apparatus consists of :-
- The machine has a steel frame that supports the drum
- Electric motor 1.5 hp and speed reducer turn the drum at 20 rpm
- The electronic control panel consists of pilot light and main switch, start/stop button and programmable 4 digit electronic counter with digital display
- Automatic stop at end of cycle
- Spare cover nut, spanner and steel tray supply as standard
- A set of abrasive charges (ASTM) are supplied (24 nos)
- A set Abrasive charges EN are supplied (24 nos)
- A set 7/8 inch nominal diameter approx 440 grams
- A set 13/16 inch nominal diameter approx 400 grams
